KTown Walking Tour: Tale of 2 Plazas

Date(s) - January 12, 2019
10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Koreatown Plaza

Has anyone been confused by the 2 Shopping Plazas that stand next to each other close to Western Ave. and Olympic Blvd? Not sure how to shop there or felt overwhelmed in the biggest supermarket in KTown?
COST: $15 per person 🙂 for the tour (food not included but delicious and interesting food sampling is included)

People have asked me about the 2 shopping plazas: what’s there and which food court or supermarket I would recommend. I certainly have gone to the wrong one when I first started going there years ago and been frustrated when I couldn’t find the place I thought for sure was in one or the other plazas.

To Register & RSVP:

Go to: https://www.1hupe.org/donate

After $15 or more donation. RSVP on the meetup page. **Send us a message saying which tour/date you are signing up for because sometimes the notifications don’t come through.

They are both multi level shopping centers with shops, food courts, and supermarkets. We will give you tips on how to keep them separate so you don’t make a mistake and go to the wrong one and what is the best places to shop in each plaza.

You will learn about how to shop for Korean products and about Korean culture and customs in the big supermarket and about Korean food in the food courts. We will learn about the different Korean dishes and eat together in one of the most popular food courts.

We will meet at Bosco’s Bakery which is in the same level as the supermarket and the food court.

Parking: Free weekend parking at Korea Town Plaza

We appreciate any and all donations so we can continue to offer more diverse tours and events. If you would like to donate, you can donate directly to the host at the events or go to our Donate web page.
