Atlanta Community Food Bank
Please donate food if possible.
Each year, an estimated 755,400 (or 1 in 7) people in metro Atlanta and north Georgia turn to Food Bank partner agencies for food. Clients visit agencies an average of 8 times a year.
Food, donated by grocery stores, heads to the Atlanta Community Food Banks where it is sorted and shipped to more that 600 Atlanta area food pantry partner agencies.
Here’s how we’re helping….
Our job will be to help the ACFB staff inspect, sort and pack donated food items. It’s that simple……
General Volunteer Guidelines:
Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are required. Sneakers or work boots are recommended. Volunteers not wearing closed-toe shoes will not be allowed to enter the warehouse/participate in the event.
Age Requirements: Volunteers must be age 8 or older. All volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult (age 18 or older).
Note: If you plan to bring kids, please add them as a plus one but do not register them via the link provided. We will handle that the day of the opportunity.
We will meet at the Product Rescue Center located at the far end of the ACFB building. There is plenty of (free) parking in front and to the side of the building.
If you all have any questions prior to the opportunity , please ask in the group comment.
See you all soon.iCal |
