Description
The Walhalla Plateau, a part of the Grand Canyon’s north rim, used to be the website of seasonal farming by prehistoric Pueblo Indians who later left in the back of their agricultural terraces and small stone farmhouses. Right through the winters, these farmers almost definitely retreated to the hotter canyon under. This book presents data from the School of American Research’s survey and excavation at the Walhalla Plateau, discussing the dynamics of settlement expansion and decline and the industrial adaptation to this marginal, high-altitude environment.
