Suddenly, after Tatiana’s feelings developed for Kortez, she noticed some things that seemed out of place about him. She was unclear about where he was going every evening and why he stayed gone throughout the night when he left her house. She couldn’t wrap her mind around why he would leave her house to go home to be in a house by himself. She didn’t want to ask him anything too personal because their friendship was so fresh. At the same time, Tatiana was the type of woman who wanted to know and didn’t like being left in the dark about important information. When she asked him, the last thing she expected him to say was that he was married and sometimes spent the night with his wife. She wanted to pull back after he told her. But he begged her not to; he didn’t want to lose her.
