Camp Dennison, Ohio, used to be the brief home of the Seventh Ohio Volunteers. Many of them wrote letters to the native newspapers to unfold the word to the folk back home in their continued commitment to the Union lead to. Pals and relatives of the warriors also contributed their letters to the newspapers. Here are their first hand accounts of campaigns in Western Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley, the winter of 1861-1862, Winchester, Antietam, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Chattanooga, Ringgold, the Atlanta Campaign and the aftermath.
