Description

Phil Webster is communicating the Christian worldview of the Founding Fathers of america to this present generation.

1787 Faith is a follow-up on his other book, 1776 Faith, which documented the Christian worldview of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Some may concede that the Founders were Christian all through the war for Independence but that the Constitution is totally godless; that there is not any room in anyway for God in government. This book shows that the Constitution and those writing it had a Christian worldview (a minimum of 36 of 39 signers). It goes on to show how the federal government under the Constitution dedicated itself to God in New York City at St. Paul’s Chapel on April 30, 1789.

Why do all 50 states mention God of their state constitutions? What would the man who presided over the Constitutional Convention say about faith in God?

Does the First Amendment say “Freedom of Religion” or “Separation of Church and State?”

Phil graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky with an A.B. degree and has a M.Div. degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He served with Operation Mobilization in Spain, England and on board the M.V. Doulos in South The usa. Phil lives in Hebron, Maryland with his wife Jean and children. He received a Who’s Who in The usa’s Schools award in 1998. In 2010 he received at the side of others the Henry Salvatori Award for American Citizenship from the Heritage Foundation.
