Description
Artist, craftsman, teacher, and writer, William Seltzer Rice moved to California in 1900 to show art within the Stockton public schools. He traveled, sketched, and painted right through the state and familiarized himself with its history, flora, and fauna. In 1910 he moved to the San Francisco Bay House, continuing his career in teaching and taking an active part within the Arts and Crafts movement. He worked in a couple of media but favored block printing as a method of bringing original art inside of succeed in of many of us.
