In the compilation of the A ppendix, I desire to express my ob Ugations to Adjutant General Mauran and his assistants, for in a position get right of entry to to the muster rolls and other docxmients pertaining to the Rhode Island Regiments now in the field; and to the many friends in Newport, Pawtucket, Westerly, Woonsocket and Providence, who have kuidly assisted me in obtaining information respecting the members of our Regiment that have again entered the service of the country.
