Description

Five-year-old Rojs home is bombed right through the civil war that has been raging in his fatherland of Syria. He and his circle of relatives are forced to flee the country secretly by boat, they usually finally end up in a camp for refugees in Europe. Interspersed with facts about Syria and its people, this narrative tells a story common to many refugees fleeing the country. The book looks at the efforts being made all over the world to lend a hand the millions of refugees. Readers are encouraged to imagine how they may be able to lend a hand refugees in their communities and all over the world.
