Description
Alexander Cochran of Baltimore (1913–1990) used to be described as an “architectural missionary.” But even so being dedicated to modernism, Cochran used to be a highly romantic, deeply spiritual humanist who desired to keep the most efficient of the past at the same time as adapting to brand new needs. He transformed his city, pointing how you can its later renaissance within the 1960s. The book opens with a short biography of Cochran—peopled with the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, George Howe, Richard Neutra, and Eero Saarinen. The second one half is a portfolio of Cochran’s work.
