The European penal models and institutions imported to Nigeria all over colonialism are exposed as intrinsically incoherent with the community-based conflict-resolution principles of so much African social structures and justice models. This book presents the realities of imprisonment in Nigeria Whilst contextualizing the colonial legacies that experience resulted within the inhumane brutalities which are endured every day.
