Comanche, The True Lord Of The Plains

Description

Comanche: A warrior race of people with a history longer than sand has passed in the course of the hour glass of time.
The nation’s economy, like that of other plains Indian tribes, was once based primarily at the buffalo; they were hunters and warriors of the first degree. They warred with everyone.
By the middle of the eighteenth century they’d taken up horse breeding and had herds numbering within the thousands.
Their name, given to them by the Ute Indians from their word komantsi this means that enemy.
To the Anglo-American, Mexican and Spaniards of the day, the word Comanche was once enough to instill terror within the hearts of each and every person at the Texas frontier. They controlled a huge area of the USA referred to as Comancheria. As Spain, Mexico and Texas moved into their lands, they raided with a vengeance, killing men, taking women and children captive and stealing thousands of horses.
