Description
George H. Devol used to be the best riverboat gambler within the history of the Mississippi. Born in Ohio in 1829, he ran away from home and worked as a cabin boy at age ten. At fourteen he may just stack a deck of cards. Through the years, he bilked squaddies, paymasters, cotton consumers, thieves, and businessmen alike. He fought more fights than any individual, and used to be never beaten. That is his story. No one used to be ever bored by it.
