Description

The delta formed by the Alabama and Tensaw rivers on the head of Mobile Bay is without doubt one of the nation’s most unique and valuable ecosystems. The area has wealthy history, diverse plant and animal life, great beauty, and is threatened by industry and development. Alabama poet laureate Sue Walker got down to capture the Delta in words, that are accompanied by the lush color photographs of across the world acclaimed flora and fauna photographer and documentarian Dennis Holt. The book includes history, science, poetry, and interviews with people who live in the Delta in addition to people who are trying to reserve it. The book is a medium-sized coffee-table format.
