From our formative years alternatively, we all learned that these Indentured Servants came from different parts of Europe to settle in the New World; but little did we know this was once the 1st European Slave Colony in Virginia that lasted until 1619 AD. How do we know? Because 12-years later, in 1619, a 12 page document thought to be to be the Survivors’ “Proclamation of Freedom” (Emancipation Proclamation if you are going to) has been revealed–it’s public domain now–which makes this document to-date, 399 years old.
