Description
In the realization of this two-section graphic novel, set in 1960s Chicago, dark mysteries past and present abound, and 10-year-old Karen tries to resolve them.
Karen attends the Yippie-organized Festival of Life in Chicago, and reveals herself swept up in a police stomping. Privately, she wrestles along with her sexual identity, and he or she continues to analyze her neighbor’s contemporary death. She discovers one last cassette tape, which sheds gentle on Anka’s heroic activities. Full-color illustrations right through.
