Victorville, Nellie’s Nest, Primo’s Pack, Sergeant’s Troop, Chesapeake Bay, Kiyana’s Wolf Den: these are all neighborhoods of Old Dog The city, a part of the Perfect Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. From Amra the Malamute sheriff to Jethro the shaggy-dog mayor, the inhabitants of Old Dog The city are as varied and fascinating as a cast of characters in a movie. There is Victor the Dogfather who has drawn an indelible line within the sand that no other dog challenges. And Ginger the Chesapeake Bay retriever who has a passion for counting tennis balls. These stories and more welcome you to Old Dog The city, where on a daily basis is a dog day full of sunny skies and golden biscuits.

President and one of the most founders of Perfect Friends Animal Sanctuary and editor of Best Friends magazine, Michael Mountain directs the sanctuary’s nationwide outreach and public awareness efforts. He also created and oversees the No More Homeless Pets Program and Perfect Friends Network. He lives with three dogs, five cats, and numerous natural world visitors at his home in Angel Canyon, Utah.
