At the turn of the 20th century, two distinct, yet every now and then overlapping, male same-sex sexual subcultures had emerged within the Pacific Northwest: one in every of the boys and boys who toiled within the region’s logging, fishing, mining, farming, and railroad-building industries; the opposite a number of the young urban white-collar workers of the emerging corporate order.
