One of the crucial chapters were written inT rinidad, amid the beautiful scenes they describe. As for the rest, the creator is under obligations to more than a few works from which he obtained much valuable information, especially from The History ofT rinidad, by L. M. Frasier; AS ketch of the Island ofT rinidad, written for the Chicago World sF air, by Henry J. Clark; and theM irror Almanack ofT rinidad, and W. G. MacF arland. The creator has also endeavored, by the aid of maps and a large number of reproductions of photographs, to present the most efficient illustrated work ever published on Trinidad. The photographs for this purpose were furnished by Felix Morin, W. A. Dunn, L. Placide Co., and L. F. Sellier.
