Description

The Lepines’ story started in Quebec, from where Maurice and Imelda immigrated to Vermont throughout the Great Depression. The circle of relatives farmed, lived off the wealthy Vermont landscape and instilled a love for it of their daughters, Gert, Jeanette and Therese. As adults, “the Ladies” taught college, traveled the arena and worked for President Johnson but never forgot their roots. All three returned to Mount Sterling Farm, raising their famed Jersey cows and embodying Vermont’s agricultural tradition. Their story is one in all hope and valor–of a circle of relatives who loved their home and neighbors and left their land as an enduring gift for the arena.
