Description
The Cat within the Hat introduces starting readers to maps–the other forms (town, state, world, topographic, temperature, terrain, and the like.); their formats (flat, globe, atlas, puzzle); the tools we use to read them (symbols, scales, grids, compasses); and funny facts in regards to the places they show us (“Michigan seems like a shawl and a mitten! Louisiana seems like a chair you’ll be able to take a seat in!”).
