Description

In search of a freer place where each and every child can go to school, a circle of relatives moves from Fascist Portugal to Communist Czechoslovakia. Different as this new country is, then again, it’s far from ideal. On this new, gray world, the lack of freedom is felt in the most straightforward things, such as the colors one can and can not wear.

Yara Kono used to be born in Brazil. Her first drawings were made at the wall of her circle of relatives’s living room. Her mother wasn’t pleased, but sooner or later embraced the artistic talents of her daughter.

Henriqueta Cristina used to be born in Portugal into a circle of relatives of many brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and stories. She graduated Porto University and has been a teacher for over thirty years.
