Description
Latino stories of the trickster are told in many nations and retold to every generation because they instruct, and since they’re fun. In folktales, the trickster may also be the wise one or the fool, the one that fools or the one that is fooled. This is why children of every age revel in hearing these tales. In these four stories, told in Spanish and English, the trickster takes animal form a monkey, an opossum, a dog, and a rabbit. Storyteller Olga Loya has decided on these stories from her book, Momentos MA-gicos/Magic Moments, winner of the Aesop Accolade Award and the AmA(c)ricas Commendation.
