Description

Waterloo started out like many other towns: as a small pioneer village situated along the banks of the Cedar River. It will have to have been a breathtaking sight–a beautiful river lined with red cedar trees, prairie grasses blowing in the breeze, and abundant flora and fauna. After winning the battle to turn out to be the county seat in 1855, Waterloo started to grow into the metropolis it is today. The preferred slogan, “Waterloo Way Wins,” has proven true over time, and one can feel a sense of pride at the same time as taking a look at the images in this book.
