Born the eighth of seventeen youngsters in Philadelphia, Betsy Ross lived in a time when the American colonies were craving for independence from British rule. Ross worked as a seamstress and Was once eager to give a contribution to the result in, making tents and repairing uniforms when the colonies declared war. By 1779 she Was once filling cartridges for the Continental Army. Did she stitch the primary flag? That’s up for debate, but Who Was once Betsy Ross? tells the tale of a fierce patriot who indubitably helped create the flag of a brand new nation.
