On June 21, 1964, three younger civil rights employees–James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner–were murdered close to Philadelphia, Mississippi. Florence Mars, a local of Philadelphia, recounts the awful instances of the killings and describes what happened to a group faced by way of a problem to long-held beliefs.
