Description
At 5:02 A.M. on August 29, 2005, Power Went Out within the Superdome. No longer long after, wind ripped giant white rubber sheets off the roof and sent massive shards of debris flying toward Uptown. Rivulets of rainwater started finding their method down in the course of the ceiling, dripping and pouring into the stands, the mezzanine, and the football field. With out ventilation, the air started to get gamy with the smell of sweat and garbage. The bogs stopped working. Many of us slept; others waited, most commonly in silence.
