Description

The tale of Robert and Margarete and their children Johannes and Dorothea, who emigrate from Germany to the USA in 1850. After landing in New Orleans and joining a wagon train headed west to Nebraska, the circle of relatives establishes a farm outdoor Omaha. The book ends with a switch to up to date day with descendants of Robert and Margarete living at the same farm. They make the verdict to research their roots and consult with Germany, reversing the shuttle their ancestors made.
